Your children worked hard this week and I'm proud of them. I think the morning incentive treats, extra compliments in the bucket and extra recess made the experience more tolerable. I also think they were proud to show off all of their knowledge! They had a nice break this morning. Each STEAM group is working on a public service announcement video to show to the kindergarten classes that should encourage them to recycle and to do it correctly. When they are finished our class will view them and vote on their favorite. That one will appear on the announcements. I was able to post a few early stage rehearsals this morning, but not all. You will be able to see all the finished products at some point. We also had a fun visit with our STEAM buddies where they showed us their STEAM habitat projects!
QUESTIONS TO ASK: What is your group's PSA? What is the slogan? How did the read aloud Tale of Desperaux end? What was your favorite part? How did kindness save the day? What is one item you would measure with grams, kilograms? REMEMBER: *ALL invention convention projects and PowerPoint presentations are due Monday, April 29. * The NEW DATE for our Poetry Coffeehouse is May 20th from 9:15-10. *Return the permission slip that went home on Thursday. Students receive bonus bucks IF I have them by Monday. There is NO cost. Our trip is on Wednesday, May 8 from 9-12:15. Students should wear their grey STEAM shirts and Closed Toed Tennis Shoes. *Math Milestone testing is next Wednesday and Thursday - remember to make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast, gets a good night's sleep, and has a stress free morning. *The Art Show is next Thursday night - refer to the email sent yesterday. NEXT WEEK: We will review for math - A LOT -; write lots of poetry (on Monday ask your child who the surprise guest poetry teacher was); have a visit to the ILC to work on Invention Convention PowerPoints and end the week with ARTS IN EDUCATION DAY! One of my favorite days at Tritt! I hope you have a Happy Easter, Happy Passover, or just a wonderful family filled weekend!
