The first ever pep rally at Tritt was tons of fun on Friday. We are very excited to play the Mt. Bethel faculty on Tuesday at 5:00 at Walton High School. I hope you all will bring your children and come support a great cause while giving them the opportunity to feel a part of a great school community. Not to mention they'll get a chance to laugh with their teacher while she tries to be a cheerleader.
The class is doing great during testing. I'm proud of how hard they are concentrating. They are definitely giving it their best. Just three more days. Tomorrow is Language Arts, Math is Tuesday, and Science/Social Studies wraps it up on Wed. Please talk to your child about finishing strong. REMEMBER: - Students might want 2 healthy snacks this week. Continue to make sure they go to bed on time, eat a good breakfast, and bring their snacks. - Return your yellow conference confirmation slip if you haven't yet. NEXT WEEK: Reading Strategy: Visualizing and how key words help you make the picture in your head. Then use key words in your own writing to help your reader feel like they are there. We finished our 2nd read aloud - ask your child what Donovan learned about his words and how we are now word collectors in our room. Writing: Continue to work on revising personal narratives - learning 5 different ways to hook the reader and begin a piece successfully; as well as, what makes an excellent ending. Math: Continue to master the different multiplication strategies. Ask your child if they can show you how to solve a problem using arrays, groups, number line, and skip counting. We will also solve some basic word problems with multiplication. FUN NEWS! We will go meet with our book buddies, Mrs. Arasi's K class for the first time this week. The class filled up the compliment bucket!! They voted to have lunch in the room with a movie. We will do that on Friday, so I wouldn't plan on eating lunch with us that day. Enjoy the last few nights of no homework because of testing. There will be some math practice Wed. night and Thur. night. Have a great week! .
