Lucky me, to work in a wonderful place where our parents continually show their appreciation. Thank you so much for all of the cards, flowers, sweet treats and lunch! I truly feel appreciated and I especially thank you for that. Today has been a fun St. Patrick's Day with a visit to our book buddies to help them add Lucky Charms and a visit from Elliott's mom and their two month old chickens.
REMINDERS: -The deadline for ordering Field Day Wear is March 24th. -Have your child wear the red, Tritt tshirt on Monday for our in-school field trip with the visiting Pope students. -Report cards come home on Thursday. NEXT WEEK: Reading: The focus will be on learning to find answers in text, determine main ideas, and then write constructed responses to support thinking. Writing: The students are having fun creating their books about the animal they researched. Each book will contain 5 facts about the animal and 5 nonfiction conventions. Hopefully, we will finish these next week. Math: We will continue to practice solving 2 step word problems and also learn how to find the perimeter of a polygon. Social Studies and Science: We will study Eleanor Roosevelt and then begin locating the major rivers of the United States. My social studies class has ILC on Monday. Again, thanks for a great teacher appreciation week and have a good weekend!
