We certainly have an All Star Class this year. What a great first week for everyone - making new friends, hearing/reading lots of great stories, learning routines/procedures, giving compliments in our morning meeting, learning how to use SeeSaw with Mrs. Dean and having a first time in the loft. Our new Tritt students fit in great. I told them in our morning meeting they are not new any more - they are already true Tritt Tigers! Make sure and ask your child about the hilarious Bill Peet books we read and look in their take home folders for their first finished projects. Please take the time to look at their work and ask them to explain it to you - Jethro and Joel and the Wingdingdilly.
REMINDERS: -Open House is this Thursday, Aug. 10. It begins with PTA at 6:00. You will come to our classroom AFTER the meeting. Remember this is ADULTS ONLY. I look forward to seeing you and sharing many of the great things we'll be doing in our class, procedures, and expectations. -Become invested in the Foundation! The support that Mrs. Pascual, in the computer lab, and Mr. Giunta, in the science lab, provide both students and teachers is immeasurable. Please help us make sure we are able to continue that support. NEXT WEEK: We will begin our guided math groups/rotations and students will be reviewing place value to the thousands. They will have lessons on how and why to pick the just right books for them, as well as, meet with me one-on-one, so we can discuss their reading life and set goals for them. In writing they are working on something special for you to see at Open House, so more on that later! Students will also be presented with their first STEM Challenge. You'll also see those results at Open House! Hope you can make it. Hope you have a great weekend!
