Tomorrow is Arts in Education Day at Tritt! It is one of the most fun days of the year. Thank you to the PTA and all of their volunteers for putting together such a special day for everyone. I hate to miss such a fun day, but my daughters and I are taking my mom to NYC for her 80th birthday! The class will be under the great supervision of Dr. Kleinman and they were very excited when they heard the news. I have stressed with them the need to be on their best behavior tomorrow and VERY respectful to all of the presenters. The class will eat in the room, so I wouldn't plan on eating lunch with your child tomorrow.
REMINDERS: - Invention Convention projects are due next Wed. May 3. There is very little other homework to make sure students have time to have fun with this! - Friday, May 5 is college day at Tritt. Everyone should wear their favorite college gear to school. - Tuesday, May 9 after school is the Faculty/Parent Softball game to raise money for the Rally Foundation. I'm hanging up my first base glove this year to have some fun being an umpire! - Friday, May 12 from 7:30-8:30am is our author's tea in the classroom. NEXT WEEK: Reading and Writing - Students are discovering their inner poets and doing a fabulous job. Math - This will be a week of making sure those multiplication facts are memorized. We will also be practicing reading a 2-step word problem and determining which operation(s) to use to solve it. Science - Our exploration of magnets will continue. Ask your child about the fun they had with the Magnet Mystery Science lesson. Social Studies - A new American Hero, LBJ, is the focus and all he did to help support civil rights. We also have a special visit from Eleanor Roosevelt. Have a great weekend!
